Week 29

Heeelllooo.

This week was super busy, so that's always nice. 

Some highlights of the week:
I went on a companion exchange with 林姉妹 (hayashi) who I absolutely love. We had quite the adventure together, which consisted of getting lost in the middle of nowhere, flattening a tire, and having to ride the train for 3 hours, but the whole day consisted of laughter. We discovered that you don't have to be fluent in the other person's language in order to have a good time. haha I am just grateful that she is nice enough to deal with my Japanese.
 
Cool miracle of the week, so we teach this one guy with the Elders because he is really hard to teach. His Japanese is super difficult, he asks really in-depth questions, and so we all go there to support and just switch back and forth who will teach. So we had a lesson, and we get there and the elders didn't show up....so we were there totally unprepared and my companion had never met him before, so she had no idea what to do. But of course, the Lord is so merciful and I just happened to thoroughly study the lesson he wanted to learn about in Japanese that day. So I just started teaching, and usually he doesn't understand or has a hard time concentrating during the whole lesson. But he said he understood everything I said and didn't have any questions or concerns, but just felt like everything that I was saying was true, which is CRAZY, if you knew this guy. It really was all the Gift of Tongues because idk if I could explain it that well again, haha. So that was really amazing. 

On Thursday we had our Zone Conference, I got to see Isom Shimai and Upchurch Shimai, which made my heart so happy.  One thing I really loved that we talked about in Zone Conference was pointing everything back to Christ. How if we make all of our goals focused on being more like him, we will accomplish everything we need to. He was literally perfect in everything and not just in spiritual things, but he was perfect in every skill, so even if you want to know how to be a better businessman, student, friend, leader, teacher, etc., study the words of Jesus Christ and strive to be more like him.
