Week 37

こんにちは!
桜(the cherry blossom season)  is here!!! This week was another week where I just feel so blessed to be in beautiful Japan!

This week we saw a lot of miracles, some of our people are progressing and it's so fun to watch their faith grow. We have this one girl who we were talking about prayer with. She was telling us how she always thinks about praying and wants to but has no idea what to say. We were explaining how it can just be like talking to one of our close friends. We can tell him about the good things and the bad things or can talk just to talk, he's our father and always wants to hear from us. She thought it was the coolest thing ever and gave the cutest prayer to close our lesson, it was awesome. We really are so blessed to have the gift of talking to our Heavenly Father.

"Come with full purpose of heart, and cleave unto God as he cleaveth unto you. And while his arm of mercy is extended towards you in the light of the day, harden not your hearts." Jacob 6:5

I read this and searched what cleave means. In the dictionary, it said, "come or be in close contact with". In Japanese, it explained it as to not separate or be distant from God.  God will always be "cleaving unto us" however it's our decision whether or not we want to reciprocate that relationship. I know when we make our prayers more meaningful and personal, we will always have God close to us.

On Saturday, we went on a hike with the ward to go see the 花見 (cherry blossom viewing)! It was a little early in the season, but it was still so beautiful. We had a picnic up in the mountains and it was so much fun.  Of course,  there was the classic old man in the ward who told me the history of all the different trees and temples. I have no idea what he was saying really, but I appreciated it. Haha

Hope you all have a great week!
